About Me
HCI | UX & GAMIFICATION EXPERT
I am a multifaceted professional with an extensive academic and practical background in the digital realm. I am doing a postdoctorate in Computer Science at UFAL and hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from ICMC/USP, working as a visiting researcher at the HCI Games Group at the University of Waterloo, Canada. My academic journey also includes a Master and bachelor degree in Communication (Image and Sound) from UFSCar and a specialization in IT Project Management from UNISUL.
As a passionate advocate for the potential of games as immersive tools in digital environments, I currently research and develop gamification solutions for digital educational settings, focusing on user experience, as a member of NEES (Center for Excellence in Social Technologies)
Alongside my academic pursuits, I serve as a professor at FATEC, teaching Web Development and Digital Design, while also having taught in Digital Design and Digital Games undergraduate courses in the past.
Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience in various digital capacities, including HCI, Front End Development, Project Management, Web Design, and UX Research and Design, working for companies and as a freelancer. I continuously explore and implement diverse narrative concepts (such as multi-linear, emergent, embedded, transmedia, etc.) in my work, as I firmly believe that context and immersion are crucial for delivering exceptional user experiences.
